Bringing Australia’s Northern Territory Experience Closer to Commuters

20 July 2016 – With Jetstar starting flights to Australia’s Northern Territory (NT), plans for the next vacation can start sooner than expected.

Commuters passing through the Dhoby Ghuat MRT station along SBS Transit’s North East Line starting today until 21 July 2016 will be greeted by a 4.28m wide by 2.85m screen as part of Jetstar Singapore’s latest “Tourism NT” campaign. When they stand in front of the screen, they will find themselves feeding “jumping crocodiles”. Breath-taking photographs of renowned locations in the Northern Territory – Katherine Gorge, Florence Falls, Litchfield National Park, Mary River Floodplains and Darwin –- also decked the walls of the station to complete the Northern Territory experience.

The multi-sensory advertisement, which taps on the augmented reality technology, has been created by Moove Media to make the experience more interactive for commuters.

On tapping on this technology, Mrs Jayne Kwek, CEO of Moove Media, said: “Travelling is not just about capturing the moments but remembering the experiences as well. By taking full advantage of the augmented reality technology, Moove is able to bring the Australia’s Northern Territory experience that much closer to commuters.”

Mr Charles Leong, Managing Director of Tourism NT Singapore, felt that the technology will serve the campaign well. He said: “Through this OOH project with Moove Media and our aviation partner Jetstar, we are delighted to showcase the stunning natural landscapes and unique experiences that the Northern Territory of Australia is renowned for. The display also incorporates Virtual Reality and 3D interaction, which makes it a fun hands-on experience for the public.”
